Double recognition for Aston Martin at the CarDesign Awards

Aston Martin achieved double recognition at the CarDesign.es 2025 Awards, the only Spanish publication dedicated exclusively to automotive design. The Vanquish was voted “Best Sports Car Design” and the Vantage S won the “Best Interior Design” award, in an edition with record participation.

The Vanquish, Gaydon’s flagship model, is powered by an 835 hp V12 twin-turbo engine and debuted a new design language last September. The jury praised the harmony between taut proportions, athletic silhouette and timeless elegance that updates the brand’s classic identity. Available in Coupé and Volante versions, the model stands out for its commanding presence both from the outside and from the driver’s seat, combining strength and refinement.

The Vantage S, the most powerful version in the range with a 680 hp V8 engine, impressed with the precision and consistency of its interior. Its enveloping architecture, selection of fine materials and careful ergonomics intensify the driver-machine connection, offering an experience that combines sportiness, sophistication and a sense of superior quality. The judges highlighted the balance between functionality and interior luxury.

The awards were collected by Dan Connell, Director of Communications and PR for Europe, who expressed his gratitude for the recognition on behalf of the team led by Marek Reichman in Gaydon. Connell highlighted that Aston Martin now offers the most powerful and sophisticated range in its history and celebrated the symbolic value of rewarding both the powerful Vanquish V12 and the Vantage S for their polished design work.

A Vanquish Volante was on display during the ceremony, allowing more than a hundred attendees—media, content creators and professionals from the automotive and technology sectors—to appreciate first-hand the qualities that justified the award.

This success consolidates the continuity of recognition at CarDesign.es: in 2024, Aston Martin had already triumphed with the DBX707, distinguished as “Best Interior Design” after its extensive interior renovation, which introduced technological advances and a new language of materials and finishes.

The CarDesign.es awards focus on the studio and prototype work that defines future production lines, and for Aston Martin, these accolades reinforce the strength of its aesthetic strategy: preserving iconic features while incorporating contemporary solutions for performance and luxury. The Vanquish and Vantage S exemplify this dual ambition: extreme performance and meticulous craftsmanship, present in every design element.

The recognition also highlights the creative process behind each model: initial sketches, digital prototypes and aerodynamic testing that ensure consistency between form and function. Designers have explored new textures, finishes and upholstery techniques that combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art industrial processes. In addition, the brand has emphasised the adaptability of the interiors to meet the demands of personalisation and comfort, without losing sight of dynamic performance. The reception in the market and among enthusiasts has been positive, and Gaydon points out that these awards encourage continued investment in design for future generations of sports cars and grand tourers.
