Route & Luch IV. The secrets of the Priorat

A few days ago, we held our last Route & Lunch of the year with a group of clients who didn’t want to miss this event, which took us to the heart of the Priorat to discover its roads and, of course, its wines.

After meeting up for a delicious continental breakfast and presenting the day’s activities to the attendees, we set off for Porrera, a small town in the province of Tarragona. The convoy of eight Aston Martins left other drivers stunned as it passed by, showcasing the beauty of the Aston Martin Vantage, DB12, Vantage Roadster, and an impressive DBS.

Curve after curve, on what was a perfect route, we put all these sports cars to the test, checking their dynamic response and performance while enjoying a beautiful sunny day that left us with a beautiful view of the terraces where the vineyards of the Priorat designation of origin are located, as well as the Merum Priorati wineries, owned by Pere Ventura, with whom we share a passion for luxury and exclusivity.

Once we arrived at the winery, Mireia Juvé once again played host and invited us not only to tour the magical place where their finest wines are made, but also to walk through the vineyards where they grow the grapes used to produce three of their jewels, Inici, Destí, and Cel, in mountainous areas that are difficult to access.

After learning about the history of this winery, we all enjoyed an exquisite tasting session where we sampled two of their wines, Inici and Cel, to check and leave an exceptional taste on our palates thanks to the different grape varieties used to make them, including Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, to which is added the minerality of the llicorella soils present in the vineyards.

It was difficult to say goodbye to Merum Priorati, thanks as always to the courtesy of this family, who put everything into context and passionately explained the secrets that have made them as exclusive as our brand, pursuing the same values.

We resumed our journey, traveling the last few miles along winding roads, which later took us to Masía Mas Trucafort in Falset, where we all enjoyed a spectacular calçotada.

Thank you to all those who attended and didn’t want to miss the last route of the year, in which, once again, we all showed that our community has many bonds that go beyond a passion for the world of cars and Aston Martin sports cars.
