Route & Lunch II – La Conca de Barberà

On April 24, we held our quarterly outing with a group of customers who had the opportunity to enjoy a day full of twists and turns, adrenaline, but above all, the exclusivity that Aston Martin exudes.

After breakfast and a brief overview of the activity, the Aston Martin convoy—which on this occasion consisted mostly of Vantages—was also joined by a DBX S and a brand-new Vanquish S. We set off toward the Bruc area, taking the first curves there as we left Montserrat Mountain behind, and then drove on to Santa María de Miralles, where we were treated to beautiful spring landscapes—with vineyards and broom—accompanying us all the way.

We left the Penedés region behind to enter the Conca de Barberá region, where, very close to Montblanc and following the Cistercian Route, we arrived at our stop: the Clos Montblanc Winery. There, we were welcomed with great hospitality and given a simple yet comprehensive explanation during a guided tour of the facilities. This winery, founded in 1988, belongs to a family with a winemaking tradition dating back over 300 years.

After visiting the winery’s most iconic areas, including its barrel room where its aged wines rest, we were treated to a tasting of two of its signature wines: its white, better known as Xipella—a young, fruity, full-bodied wine—paired with the red Xipella from the 2022 vintage.

Once our visit to Clos Montblanc was over, we continued on toward Lleida, taking a route that allowed us to enjoy every curve, accompanied by landscapes that left us with a pleasant aftertaste following our tasting of these two wines.

Upon arriving in Lleida, we entered La Dolceta Restaurant, one of the city’s most iconic gastronomic destinations, known for its location and, of course, for its exquisite dishes rooted in Catalan haute cuisine.

Once again, this outing allowed us to share a day with our clients where exclusivity and the DNA of Aston Martin were front and center.
